Reported city features, practical travel notes, and destination coverage across China.
Editor Profile
Daniel Xu is an East China editor at China Travel Notes. He leads Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Qingdao coverage, especially pages where local atmosphere, heritage districts, lake-or-coast pacing, and practical hotel geography matter more than trophy attraction collecting.
How This Editor Reviews Content
Daniel reviews pages for day shape, district usefulness, and whether a city's calmer cultural strengths are being explained clearly enough to earn traveler time.
Nanjing
A good two-day Nanjing itinerary balances one indoor history anchor, one broader landmark block, and one protected evening.
Nanjing
Nanjing is strongest when the trip wants a thoughtful historical city with a real evening layer, not just one more rail stop.
Qingdao
The strongest Qingdao trip usually balances one German-era architecture branch, one seafood-and-beer evening, and one slower sea-or-mountain block instead of reducing the city to beach photos or museum checklists.
