• the hotel is truly central

The airport shuttle solves the airport.

Then Guilin can solve Guilin.

This option gets weaker when:

• the hotel still is not really near the city-side drop

This route is strongest when:

• the flight lands early enough to use it comfortably
• the route clearly wants Yangshuo as the first real overnight
• the trip is already prioritizing atmosphere over city gateway convenience

This can be especially smart when the regional plan would otherwise waste one night in Guilin only because the airport feels psychologically separate from Yangshuo.

What to watch out for

The direct Yangshuo shuttle gets weaker when:

• your flight lands too late for a comfortable transfer
• the hotel is in a quieter outer Yangshuo base rather than near town
• you arrive exhausted and still would need one more long final leg after the bus station

If the hotel is not really West Street-side or another easy town-center answer, taxi or a prearranged car can become much more attractive.
